In the Alarm Editor window, click the **+** icon to bring up the Edit Alarm window shown below:

| **Item** | **Description** |
| Alarm Name | Assigns a title to the user’s alarm. |
| Trigger | Assign a tag or expression to be responsible for initiating the alarm. |
| Comparison | Declares the parameter/threshold in which the alarm fires. |
| Value 1 | Primary parameter for single-sided comparisons (i.e. X > Value 1). |
| Value 2 | Secondary parameter for two-sided comparisons (i.e. Value 1 > X > Value 2). |
| ON Action | Assign an action that occurs when the alarm is triggered. |
| OFF Action | Assign an action that occurs when the alarm settles. |
| Acknowledge Action | Assign an action that occurs when the alarm is acknowledged. |

| :Edit: | Opens the Edit Labels window so that labels may be added/changed/removed. |
| :Expand: | Expands each section within the Edit Alarm window. |
| :Collapse: | Collapses each section within the Edit Alarm window. |

On the Descriptions tab, clicking **New Description** allows the user to create comments that can be assigned to alarms and will appear on alarm objects.
